  The Saline Fiddlers

COLDWATER, MI—Actor Jeff Daniels called the Saline Fiddlers “…a talented group” and country music star Chely Wright said, “These guys play better than our session players back in Nashville!”

              America’s “premier high school fiddling ensemble,” the Saline Fiddlers, make a long awaited, one-night only repeat performance at 7:30 pm, Friday, Dec. 18 at the Tibbits Opera House, Coldwater.

              The Saline Fiddlers bring “serious fiddling which is simmering in fun” to their concerts where old-time fiddling meets the polish sound and energy of a professional stage show.

              “Fiddles fill the air, climbing, reaching…flying every which way toward hoedown heaven. The show is irresistible…and the darn thing is so wholesome, it makes clean cut look dirty,” The Detroit News said.

              Audiences of all ages will revel in the dazzling fiddling, lively dancing and amazing singing. This 30-member high school group blends tradition and innovation to create upbeat inspirational performances which will have youngsters dancing and grandparents shedding tears of joy.

               Since 1994 the Saline Fiddlers have played more than 1,000 venues including Queens Hall in Scotland as well as performances in Germany. National venues include: the White House, the United States Capital, the Michigan Capital, American Cancer Society’s Cattle Barons Ball, the Chicago Hilton, the Calgary Stampede, and the Kennedy Center as well as countless fairs, festivals and tours averaging about 80 performances a year.

               The Saline Fiddlers have also performed with county music legend Reba McIntyre and internationally known fiddler Natalie McMaster, to name just a few entertainers. They have six CDs to their credit, hold “Fiddle Power Workshops” and were the 2000 Michigan Association of Community Arts Agencies award winner.
