Tibbits Summer Theatre Auditions for Joseph’s Children’s Choir
Auditions for Tibbits Summer Theatre’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will take place at the theatre on May 16 at 5pm. These auditions are open to students in grades 4-10. Boys’ voices cannot have changed. Students will be called to the stage in groups of five and will be asked to sing Row Your Boat in a group, individually, and in a round. Students must be available for rehearsals and the production from June 23 to July 13.

The hiring process for Tibbits Professional Summer Theatre begins in February for the June through August summer season.
Tibbits Summer Theatre attends the United Professional Theatre Auditions in Memphis, TN. If you have not attended this unified call, you may arrange an audition at the Opera House. Ideally prepare a comic monologue from the modern repertory. Two contrasting vocal selections (in the style of what is being presented that summer) are also required. Please have accompaniment on tape or disc as no pianist is on staff until the summer.

Professional Design and Technical Positions

Tibbits Young Audiences/TYA (grades 4-8)
Tibbits produces two shows yearly shows with a full cast of about 50 students. A play in the fall and a musical in the spring provide students an enjoyable introduction to the world of theatre. By putting on a show they learn teamwork, discipline, theatre skills, self-confidence and an appreciation for the arts. Shows are open to youth in fourth through eighth grade.
