Tibbits Summer Theatre announces NYC auditions for its 55th Summer season:

Auditions by appointment on March 1st, at Ripley Grier Studios 520 8th Avenue from 9:30 am to 5:00pm.
Excellent dancer/actors who sing should come to appointment prepared to dance. You may be asked to sing a 16-bar cut, and/or called for additional callbacks on March 2nd. Looking for athletic, intense dancers with strong acting skills. Acro/tumbling skills a plus but not required.
Singers who move well should come to appointment with 2 contrasting 16-bar cuts. You may be asked to learn a dance combination.
Callbacks are scheduled at Ripley Grier for Saturday, March 2. Tibbits encourages actors of all ethnicities to audition. All roles are currently available.

OTHER TST AUDITION OPPORTUNITIES
Tibbits Summer Theatre attends the United Professional Theatre Auditions in Memphis, TN. If you have not attended this unified call, you may arrange an audition at the Opera House. Ideally prepare a comic monologue from the modern repertory. Two contrasting vocal selections (in the style of what is being presented that summer) are also required. Please have accompaniment on tape or disc as no pianist is on staff until the summer.

Design and Technical Positions
Tibbits Summer Theatre hires technical and design positions for the summer. The hiring process begins in February for the following summer. Complete listings are available on: offstagejobs.com Search Tibbits.

Tibbits Young Audiences/TYA (grades 4-8)
Tibbits produces two shows yearly shows with a full cast of about 50 students. A play in the fall and a musical in the spring provide students an enjoyable introduction to the world of theatre. By putting on a show they learn teamwork, discipline, theatre skills, self-confidence and an appreciation for the arts. Shows are open to youth in fourth through eighth grade.
