“A Treasure Reborn: The History of Tibbits Opera House,” a museum-quality display will focus not only on the chronological history of Tibbits’ management and architectural changes to the structure since 1882, but also Tibbits’ place as a cultural and community center. Tibbits Opera House is proud to be the center of arts and culture for Branch County and the surrounding region now and as it once was.
The community and members of the Tibbits Foundation are invited to join the board of directors for a reception at 5pm in the downstairs gallery followed by the annual meeting in the auditorium. Light refreshments will be served and participants will have the opportunity to see a variety of displays featuring objects and history from the theater’s early years. The meeting for Branch County’s center for arts and culture includes a review of the 2017-18 fiscal year, a financial report of the theatre, and highlights for the year ahead.
