CLASSIC CARTOON CAVALCADE

Experience a Saturday matinee straight out of the 1940s, the way your grandparents (or great grandparents) did! We’ll screen four classic cartoon shorts, take a popcorn break, and then settle in for Walt Disney’s The Sword in the Stone.

Duck Amuck – 1953 6 minute short
The short-tempered Daffy Duck is tormented by a mischievous animator.

 

Chow Hound – 1951 7 minute short
A K-9 con-artist with an ever growing appetite uses a cat and mouse to obtain food for him.

 

The Hypo-Chondri-Cat – 1950 7 minute short
Two mice have a good time at the expense of cat who suffers from a phobia that makes him think he is always sick.

 

Goofy Gymnastics – 1949 6.5 minute short
Goofy finds that getting in shape with his mail order fitness kit is not nearly as easy as he was lead to believe.

 

The Sword in the Stone – 1963 1hr 20min Feature Film
An old wizard helps a poor boy named Arthur realize his destiny of becoming one of the most beloved kings in English history.

Tickets to Popcorn Theatre are general admission. Tickets are $9 (includes $2 fee, popcorn, and juice) and can be purchased online and by phone. Patrons are strongly encouraged to buy tickets in advance as there is no additional fee to do so. If purchasing tickets at the door, please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
