Tibbits celebrates Coldwater’s many cultural groups with an evening of entertainment, food, and friendship. The auditorium will come alive with the sounds of live music from around the world — an energetic performance of Latino stories by Magical Rain Theaterworks, acclaimed percussion group, Biakuye, featuring African and Caribbean sounds, and Victor Ghannam, an accomplished (oud and qanun) musician of Arab descent.
Samples of colorful cuisine from our Yemeni, Arab, Polish, Hispanic, and Japanese community members will be served. The auditorium will come alive with the sounds of live music from around the world featuring professional artists, Biakuye and Victor Ghanam.
Come with an open-mind and empty belly and you won’t leave disappointed! If you have not been in to see the new exhibit on Yemeni-American culture and history, this is a great chance to view it. Parts of this program are funded through Altrusa of Coldwater along with grants from the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
