Golf Fundraiser scores $17,500 for Tibbits opera house

COLDWATER, MI—

More than ninety area residents enjoyed a day of golf as they participated in the Tibbits Golf Tournament, which grossed over $17,500 for the opera house. The tournament was held Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Golf Club of Coldwater.

“It’s a pleasure being involved in an event that supports the Tibbits. We’re so pleased with the turnout for the golf outing and looking forward to assisting the Tibbits in future years,” Don Denney, President/CEO of Monarch Community Bank, title sponsor of the tournament.

Mr. Denney announced winners at Monday’s golf tournament luncheon. Women’s Division winners: 1st Place, Dawn Gallup, Denise Wilson, Lisa Kubel, Michelle Sheppard. Mixed Division winners: 1st Place, Jody Lewis, Bill Cary, Duane Carpenter, Wayne Gamble; 2nd Place, Alicia Cole, John Cole, Jim Forrister, Suzy Brady; 3rd Place, Curtis Covert, Lisa Covert, Kristen Dogan, Matt Graeber. Men’s Division winners: 1st Place, Randy Sell, Jeff Paarlberg, Aaron Downs, Nick Krzeminski; 2nd Place, Ray Sebastian, John VanderHoff, Jack Lintner, Ralph LaGro, Corey LaGro; 3rd Place, Brad Parrish, Leon Parrish, Rob Smith, Frank Pytlowany.

John Rohloff was the raffle’s grand prize winner of a set of Adams golf irons, generously donated by the Foundation Golf Center.

Christine Delaney, Tibbits’ Executive Director, said “It was a wonderful day. We greatly appreciate the generous support of our event sponsors, including Monarch Community Bank who was once again the title sponsor for this event. Thank you to the many hole sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who showed tremendous support of Tibbits.”
