Golf Tournament raises Over $10,000

COLDWATER, MI—One hundred golfers participated in the recent Tibbits tournament which raised more than $10,000 for the opera house!

The Tibbits Golf Tournament was held July 10, 2006, at The Golf Club of Coldwater all in the name of raising funds for the opera house according to Development Director Krista Miller.
“We would especially like to thank our event sponsors, The Community Health Center of Branch County, C & O Insurance, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust, Asama of Coldwater Manufacturing, Blackberry Patch Golf Club and Coldwater Banking center for their support in helping Tibbits raise money for their general operations,” said Miller. “The event raised more than $10,000 and without the generous support of the Golf Club of Coldwater, Martell’s Tavern on the Green and all the sponsors and volunteers for the event, our success would not have been possible.”

Winners of the event were: 1st Place Men’s Division, Jeff Holbrook, Kevin Boguth, Chris Gates, Rick Gates; 2nd Place Men’s Division, Jamie Brock, Randy Sell, Doug Johnson, Jeff Paarlberg, 3rd Place Men’s Division, Dan Taylor Phil Wotta, Rich Glass, Matt Dwyer, 1st Place Women’s Division, Pat Sampsel, Beverly Ohm, Lynette Wintersteen, Joan Cox, 2nd Place Women’s Division, Sally Whitten, Betsy Spalding, Carol Smith, Lucia Haas, 1st Place Mixed Division, Leonard Kolcz, John Cole, Alicia Cole, Clyde Kibiloski, 2nd Place Mixed Division, Kathy Bair, Patty DeGroot, Mark Ludlow, Laurie Adams, 3rd Place Mixed Division, John Johnson, Liz Weinberg, Larry Caudill, John Welch.

Tibbits would like to thank everyone for their support this year and looks forward to seeing everyone on the green at our 2007 outing which is scheduled for Monday, July 9 at Blackberry Patch Golf Club.
