Back to the Future with the "Fabulous Fifties"

COLDWATER, MI—

Tibbits Opera House is searching for the perfect volunteer to receive its prestigious Volunteer of the Year award for 2008 and you can help to make it happen!

If you know someone who has volunteered during the past year at Tibbits and who you feel deserves to win the title, then let us know. It doesn’t matter in what capacity the person volunteered whether it was ushering, office work, maintenance or any other area. What is important is the individual represented Tibbits proudly, had a great attitude and had fun volunteering.

It’s easy to submit your nomination. Just call Tibbits during normal working hours at 517-278-6029 or e-mail your information to cstewart@tibbits.org or stop in at the administrative offices at 93 W. Chicago St., Coldwater, to fill out a nominating form . Nomination deadline is April 8, 2008.

When you make your nomination, please explain in a few sentences why you think this person should be Tibbits Volunteer of the Year. It would also be helpful to leave instructions on how we can reach you if we have any questions.        

The winner will be announced at the annual Volunteer Gala Reception on Tuesday, April 15, at Tibbits Opera House. All the fun starts at 5:30 PM. This year’s theme is The “Fabulous Fifties”. All Tibbits volunteers are invited to join in the Fifties fun with old-fashioned malts, sock hop music and poodle skirts as the Volunteer of the Year is announced. You must RSVP by calling 517-278-6029  on or before April 8 as seating is limited to 75 this year.

Previous winners are excluded from consideration. They include: Joan Spaulding (2003), Lois Voss (2004), Karen Hargreave and Haley Smith (2005), Steve and Julia Littley (2006) and Ruth Scheidler (2007).
