Press Release

AM 1590 WTVB SUPPORTS “THE GOODBYE GIRL”

Date:July 14, 2008

COLDWATER, MI—

AM 1590 WTVB is proud to support Tibbits Summer Theatre again this year with its sponsorship of “The Goodbye Girl” at 8 pm on Thursday – Saturday, July 24, 25, 26, 31 and August 1, 2 with matinees at 2 pm on Thursday, July 24, and Wednesday, July 30.

As the radio station Branch County and its summer visitors turn to for local news and information, sponsoring a Summer Theatre production is a natural extension of the WTVB programming philosophy. "Tibbits Summer Theatre is such an important part of our community.  We're proud to be a sponsor again this year” said Ken Delaney, Station Manager.

Throughout the year AM 1590 features “Tibbits Talk” every Tuesday at 8:45 am with Summer Theatre actors and actresses interviewed during the summer and highlights of other community group productions and events at Tibbits on a regular basis.

In addition to local news, sports, and weather, AM 1590 WTVB is a part of almost every community event in Branch County, airs the entire NASCAR season, and features “Your Greatest Hits”, a mix of oldies music from the 60’s, 70’s, and early 80’s. WTVB truly is The Voice of Branch County.

“The Goodbye Girl,” based on Neil Simon’s well-known film by the same name, is about an unlikely romance between Paula, a bitter, single mother who has been jilted one time too many, and Elliott, an opinionated actor who shows up on her doorstep with a lease in hand to sublet her New York apartment.
