ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE THANKS TO SATEK WINERY

COLDWATER, MI—

Satek Winery is proud to sponsor the Tibbits Summer Theatre production of “Room Service” at 8 pm on Thursday – Saturday, July 10 – 12, and Thursday – Saturday, July 17 - 19 and at 2 pm on Thursday, July 10, and Wednesday, July 16.

Satek’s seven-year-old winery has won many international awards for its wines and wants to help make wine and the arts a greater part of every adult’s experience in this community. Owners, Larry and Pam Satek remarked, “We are pleased and proud to support a fine theatre organization – Tibbits.”

Located in Fremont, IN, just off SR 120 and east of the Outlet Mall, Satek Winery produces 28 wines ranging in style from dry to sweet and includes fruit and dessert wines. Sourcing most of their grapes from within 350 miles of the winery, Satek Winery seeks a superior regional style consistent with their mission of “Good Wine, Good Fun.”

If the title “Room Service” sounds familiar, perhaps you will recall that the play was chosen by the Marx Brothers for their 1938 feature starring the three Marx Brothers and a very young Lucille Ball and Ann Miller. 

The story line for “Room Service,” a farce, centers on a nimble-witted producer who is in desperate need of a good script. While living on credit with several actors in a Broadway hotel, he finds one and by great good luck, he also finds an angel with $15,000. The play shows how, during a hectic few days, the producer plays hide-and-seek with the angel who wants to withdraw his financial support, manages to outwit his creditors, and at the very last moment puts over his play in spite of the most ludicrous and unexpected obstacles.

In a farce everything, including the plot, the characters, the situation and even the furniture, is an obstacle that each character has to get around. That means fast talking, running, and even leaping over beds to accomplish the impossible.
