Sleepy Hollow Gets ScarierDate: 09.15.2009COLDWATER, MI— Halloween is going to be a little bit scarier this year when headless horsemen and dancing ghouls start making their ghostly appearances in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” at Tibbits.
More than 55 area children are learning their lines and rehearsing their parts for the Tibbits Young Audiences (TYA) production of Washington Irving’s classic horror story just in time for Halloween.
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is about a scared, skinny schoolteacher called Icabod Crane. The tale tells how he is tormented first by a gang of thugs, then smitten by his first true love and then haunted by a headless ghoul. A late night trip across an eerie bridge where pumpkin heads are thrown at school teachers doesn’t help his cause either!
