GRAB YOUR CLUBS AND HIT THE LINKS WITH THE FOX ON THE FAIRWAY
COLDWATER – Ken Ludwig’s The Fox on the Fairway tees off at Tibbits Opera House on August 10 and plays through August 19.
The comedy begins with Bingham, president of the Quail Valley Country Club, in a difficult position. He has made a wager with his cocky and arrogant counterpart Dickie, and the golfer he thought would play for his club has switched sides. Fortunately for Bingham, his newly-hired hand Justin is also an excellent golfer. Justin does not disappoint and has a huge lead when bad weather interrupts the tournament. During the break, Justin learns that Louise, his fiancé and Bingham’s waitress, is frantic after having accidentally flushed her engagement ring down the toilet. When the game resumes, Justin loses the lead, and in a fit of frustration breaks his arm. To add to his worries, Bingham’s wife accuses him of getting much too close to Pamela, his sex-starved vice-president. Bingham begins to doubt he will ever win the game, the wager, and get his life in order.
