Daisy Werthan, an independent widow, age 72, crashes her car and is strong armed into taking on a driver by her son Boolie. Daisy may looses her keys but, gains a friendship that develops from 1948 – 1973.
Set against a backdrop of changing world events over thirty years, a spirited Southern widow and her proud but soft-spoken black chauffeur journey from suspicion and mistrust to respect and deep-rooted affection.
