Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
June 25 *, 26, 27, July 1**, 2, 3
This zany musical follows the mad-cap
adventures of chorus girl Lorelei Lee, a role made famous on
Broadway by Carol Channing in 1949 and on screen by Marilyn
Monroe. Set in the roaring '20s, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes tells
the story of a fun-loving and hedonistic gold-digger Lorelei
Lee and her sail aboard the Ile de France to Paris
with her chum Dorothy Shaw. The score is packed with lively,
chipper melodies neatly evoking the fancy-free age of the late
twenties with tuneful melodies that include "Gentlemen
Prefer Blondes", “I'm Just a Little Girl From Little
Rock,” “Bye Bye Baby” and of course, "Diamonds
Are A Girl's Best Friend."

Leading
Ladies
July 9 *, 10, 11, July
15**,16, 17, 18
In this hilarious comedy by the author of Lend Me a Tenor and Moon
Over Buffalo, two English Shakespearean actors, Jack
and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they
are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the
Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania.
When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die
and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews,
they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives
and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York,
they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces!
Romantic entanglements abound, especially when Leo falls
head-over-petticoat in love with the old lady's vivacious
niece, Meg, who's engaged to the local minister. Meg knows
that there's a wide world out there, but it's not until she
meets "Maxine and Stephanie" that she finally gets
a taste of it.

Hair
July 23*,
24, 25, 29**, 30 , 31, August 1
Puts rock music and the culture
that went with it on stage. It may be your generation or you
may consider it retro…but the energy and impact are
timeless. The show has a strong effect on everyone, and acts
as a bridge between generations and viewpoints. What looks
like incredible chaos is actually organized chaos. Phenomenal
musical numbers include “Aquarius,” “Good
Morning Starshine,” ’”I Believe in Love,” ”Hair,” “I
Got Life,” ”What a Piece of Work Is Man” and “Hippie
Life.” This show which opened in 1967 has a
vitality, a timelessness and a meaning that outlives the late
1960's and early 1970's in America.

I
Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change
August 6 *, 7, 8,
12**, 13, 14, 15
This celebration of the mating game takes
on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum
known as "the relationship." Act I explores the journey
from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II
reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips
in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set.
This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and
lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal
of romance, to those who have dared to ask, "Say, what
are you doing Saturday night?"
