A beautiful sunny day provided the final touch for a successful Tibbits golf outing. The annual outing held Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Coldwater Golf Course was sponsored by, Bloom Dairy, Inc., Oak Prairie Farms, and Lennard Ag Co.. The annual fundraiser generated over $11,000 profit towards supporting the Opera House’s daily operations and programming.
Registration and breakfast began at 8 a.m. sharp. Committee Chair, Mike Beckwith welcomed the Sixty golfers and went over rules before they all hit the course for the 18-hole scramble. The players encountered activities along the way and while Adam Cappella won the Century Bank Putting Contest with a perfect putt, no one was lucky enough to get the $10,000 hole-in-one, sponsored by JR Colbeck, Attorney. The luncheon bell rang around 1:30 p.m. where hungry golfers feasted and tournament winners were announced. This year’s lunch was sponsored by ASAMA Manufacturing, Bobilya: Chrysler Dodge Jeep and LifeCare Ambulance Service.
This year’s winners for Gross Team: Ray Sebastian, Jon Slack, Steve Medendorp and Matt Houtz; Men’s Division: Leon Parrish, Mike Enos, Bob Mitchell and Brad Moore; Women’s Division: Sally Whitten, Lucia Haas, Betty Spalding and Sandra Bowles; and Mixed Division: John Rohloff, Joan McKinnon, Jim and Tammy Wright.
