A CLASSIC TALE OF FRIENDSHIP COMES TO LIFE ON THE TIBBITS STAGE!
COLDWATER – Tibbits’ Popcorn Theatre continues with the timeless tale of Charlotte’s Web showing July 6-7 & 13-14 at 10am.
Wilbur the pig lived happily on a farm in the country until one day it is revealed that his life may be in danger. Fearing the worst, Wilbur’s friend Charlotte the spider attempts to save him by making everyone think Wilbur can weave words into her web. This story of friendship and sacrifice has enchanted generations of children and adults alike.
Making up the cast of Charlotte’s Web is Nicolas Fernandez as Wilbur, Naomi Blansit as Charlotte, Caroline Anderson as Fern Arable and Goose, Christopher Michael Milligan as Homer Zuckerman, Sheep, and Avery, David Ossman as Templeton, John Arable, and Lurvy, and Josh Vreeland as the narrator, Gander, Carter, Uncle, and President with Peter Riopelle directing.
This heartfelt story was written for the stage by Joseph Robbinette based upon the original story by E.B. White. Joseph Robinette is a Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award nominee for A Christmas Story, The Musical. Robinette collaborated with E.B. White on the authorized stage version of Charlotte’s Web, and partnered with Charles Strouse (Annie and Bye, Bye, Birdie) on a musical version. He is the recipient of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education’s Distinguished Play Award for Sarah, Plain and Tall and the Children’s Theatre Foundation of America medallion in recognition of his dramatic works for family audiences.
