“A Spoonful of Sugar” Auction Will Step in Time November 2
COLDWATER –Chim, chimney; Chim chimney; Chim, chim cher-ee! Tibbits 40th Annual Auction, “A Spoonful of Sugar” will step in time November 2 at Tibbits Opera House.
Over 600 items will be up for bid at what has become one of the historic theatre’s most entertaining benefit events. Proceeds help with daily operations and maintenance of the theatre, built in 1882. The silent auction will begin at 6 PM and the live auction at 8 PM. The evening includes food and cash bar.
This event features a special theme each year, making it a time-honored tradition in the community. This year volunteers and staff will transform the theatre into the world of Mary Poppins featuring costumes, decorations, and plenty of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious fun.
Current items up for bid in the live auction include a host of unique dinners, tours, and packages including four club seats with food and beverage to a Detroit Red Wing’s game donated by PNC Bank, Ring video doorbell and Amazon Echo donated by Century Bank and Trust, one floral arrangement per month for a year donated by Bronson Floral, one week stay from Potawatomie Campground and Recreation Area, two tickets to The Simon and Garfunkel Story at Fox Theatre donated by 313 Presents, and much more. Silent auction items up for bid include antiques, gift cards to area businesses, an assortment of gift baskets, small furniture, household items, sports memorabilia, children’s items, and craft supplies.

People look forward to seeing the decorations, costumes, and atmosphere that brings such energy to the community for the evening.”
“The Most Delightful Medicine” Wine Pull will also be featured throughout the evening. There will be a 50/50 raffle, a large raffle, sponsored by Great Lakes Chiropractic with a grand prize of $1000, and hors d’uevres provided by Tasteful Kreations.
