Dr. Stanley Bushouse
(November 17, 1940 – November 26, 2020)
“Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!”
William Shakespeare

With a heavy heart we say farewell to Stan Bushouse, a lover of the arts and a true friend of Tibbits Opera House.
Stan was a long-time supporter of the theatre, he and wife Judy have been members of the Tibbits Opera Foundation for more than 50 years, almost since the beginning.
Through those years Stan attended so many shows, concerts, school performances and Summer Theatre. He attended with his family, and he supported his family when they took to the stage.
He was also an active Tibbits volunteer logging more than 400 hours in the last five years. Most recently, he co-chaired the annual Kids’ Art Rocks program, helping recognize children’s artwork, creating an exhibition, and leasing winning art to area businesses. Tibbits recognized Stan and Judy for their work on the project in January 2013 as Volunteer of the Month.
Throughout his life, Stan was a participant and supporter of the arts and we are grateful for all he shared with Tibbits.
In appreciation for the gifts and guidance he bestowed upon the
Tibbits Opera House and by extension to the entire community,
Tibbits Opera Foundation and Arts Council
salutes the memory of Stan Bushouse.
Stan, you will be dearly missed. The ghost light shines on stage for you & all who have shared their spirit with Tibbits.
An in-person memorial service will be delayed until next summer or until it is safe to gather. Read the full obituary HERE.
