Artists Wanted for “A is for Animal” Art Gallery Show
COLDWATER – Arts Alive is asking local artists to join their next gallery show, “A is for Animal,” which will be installed in Tibbits Opera Houses’ art gallery in September and will be on display until late October.
Artists of any age are free to submit up to three pieces at $5 per submission. Paintings, photographs or drawings should be fitted with a hanging wire. Sculpture or other mediums are accepted and encouraged as well. While the theme is “A is for Animal,” it is totally up to the artist to interpret the theme as they see fit. Artists can also sell their submitted work on commission. Cash prizes will be also awarded to the top artists based on audience votes at the theatre.
In order to be included in the “A is for Animal” art show, please drop off all pieces to the Tibbits Administration Office on 93 W. Chicago St by September 6 at 4:30 pm. “A is for Animal” will be displayed in the lower level art gallery at Tibbits Opera House until October 29, after which time artists can come collect their work.
The art gallery currently features artwork by area artists who submitted pieces for “Smitten with the Mitten.” During the fall, the art gallery is open by appointment, during all events held at Tibbits, and one hour prior to those events. There is no admission charge for the gallery and visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork.
