Tibbits Popcorn Theatre presents Sheer Genius’ Laugh Factory as its second show of the season. This outrageously fun family show will be presented at 10:00 am on Friday, July 3 and Friday, July 10.
Doug Sheer has honed his hysterical routines in more than 9,000 performances across North America. Wacky jokes, off-the-wall games, and insane contests provide fun for all ages. Scheer wants his audiences to “laugh until it hurts and stuff flies out your nose.” There will be insane contests and even a few magical surprises in this show where kids are the stars.
Since 1987 Scheer has been providing top-notch, award-winning educational programs to Michigan schools. Hundreds of thousands of elementary students have thrilled to the excitement created in his productions. According to Scheer, “while education is the priority in all our shows, igniting enthusiasm in learning is the main thrust.” By combining an energetic style, beautiful sets and costumes with a true gift for teaching, Scheer brings a new dimension to the basic lessons of education. No other performer has appeared before more Michigan elementary students in the past 20 years.
