Classic Film Series – Sherlock Holmes Double Feature
DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN DECEMBER WITH TIBBITS’ SHERLOCK HOLMES DOUBLE FEATURE!
COLDWATER – Experience mystery and suspense on Saturday, December 30 at 7pm as the Tibbits Classic Film Series brings two of Sherlock Holmes’ best, House of Fear and Dressed to Kill, to the big screen.
The first film of the evening, House of Fear, is a 1945 classic in which seven rich men of varying backgrounds retire to a Scottish castle and begin what they think will be a life of leisure. One by one, the members of the club begin to receive envelopes containing several orange pips (seeds), and after each delivery the recipient is murdered. As all the members of the club are heavily insured, Sherlock Holmes is asked by the insurance companies to investigate. House of Fear stars Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruse as Holmes and Watson.
Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruse reprise their roles as the brilliant Sherlock Holmes and his loyal sidekick Dr. Watson in Dressed to Kill, the second film of the evening. Dr. Watson’s old friend Stinky asks for Holmes’ assistance after he is knocked out and a small music box is taken from his home. Holmes & Watson set out to discover why a trio of murderous villains and a dangerously attractive woman are desperate to obtain three unassuming and inexpensive music boxes.
