STAND-UP COMEDY RETURNS TO COLDWATER MICHIGAN WITH THE 4TH ANNUAL COMEDY FEST
The howl of the winter winds are replaced with the roar of laughter as stand-up comedy returns to Tibbits Opera House on March 11 at 7pm with Coldwater’s 4th Annual Comedy Fest.
For the past four years Tibbits has been helping people shake the winter blues with its Comedy Fest. Beginning in 2013 the Comedy Fest was added to Tibbits’ list of annual events so local residents could experience the thrill of live stand-up comedy.

Headlining this year is Andy Hendrickson, a comedian who has built his career with writing and acting in New York City. Andy has a clever, conversational style that has been engaging audiences for over 15 years. He’s had multiple TV appearances including: The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Gotham Comedy Live, NBC/Seeso’s The Guest List and more. Internationally, Andy has performed at clubs and festivals throughout the world, including Canada, England, Holland and Ireland. He also performed for our troops on Outback’s Feeding Freedom Tour that provided entertainment for the troops on military bases across Afghanistan. His comedy CD “Underachiever” debuted on iTunes in their Top 10.
The featured comic for this year’s Comedy Fest is Brent Terhune. Characters, voices, one-liners, and self-deprecating monologues are the embodiment of Brent’s comedic style. Getting his start in comedy in Indianapolis, Indiana, he is currently studying Communications at the University of Indianapolis. He is also the co-host of the immensely popular podcast enjoyed by dozens of listeners, The Interweb Podshow. Whether talking about the everyday struggles of being a redhead, life as a college student and radio DJ, or his off-the-wall Uncle Frank and family, Brent is sure to keep you laughing well after he’s left the stage.
Emceeing the show will be Andy Beningo. Over the past decade, he has established himself as one of the hardest working comedians in the business today. With his clever “everyman” style, Beningo has performed in 39 states, Canada, Mexico, and Central America, with additional performances on Gotham Comedy Live, he was a finalist on CMT’s Next Big Comic, and regularly appears on The Bob and Tom Radio Show.
Beningo has been hailed for his clean style of comedy, resulting in being named “Best Comedian” by both the Detroit Metro Times and Detroit Hour Magazine. In 2016, he was nominated for Comedian of the Year by the AMG Heritage Awards.
Tickets for 2017 Coldwater Comedy Fest are $25 for reserved seating, $23 for members, and 18 for general admission seats in the upper balcony. Ticket prices include fees.
