THE SHOW WILL GO ON–but we have to adapt again. All performances of What Mad Pursuit will now be held at The Ponds in Coldwater, just minutes from Tibbits Opera House. We had expected the governor’s order restricting theatres from opening to have been lifted. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
Your ticket will be automatically transferred to the new location. The Ponds offers a secluded, sheltered outdoor setting with both space for social distancing and privacy to enjoy an intimate performance. Don’t forget your mask!
There is plenty of parking available and golf carts will be available to help transport patrons to the pavilion where the performance will take place.
Tickets for the Fri. Aug 21 7pm show of What Mad Pursuit will be adjusted to Wed. Aug 19 7pm show. If you would prefer to change your tickets to another performance time, please let the box office know. If you have any questions, please contact the box office at 517.278.6029. Our box office hours are Monday-Friday 9-5pm.
Evan Lorrimer, a famous English writer, is on a successful book tour in America. A wealthy patron invites him to spend a quiet weekend at her summer house. Against his better judgment , he goes–and gets anything but what was promised. He meets a colorful group of show folk and socialites…some 45 roles all played by our small intrepid cast. Songs by Coward add to the fun in this fully-staged reader’s theater production.
We are practicing social distancing, including adding Plexiglas at points of sale and taking additional cleaning steps to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff.
We encourage those who are able to wear a mask.
