Professional Acting Auditions

The 2026 TST season includes: The Marvelous Wonderettes, Dear Evan Hansen, Rock of Ages, The 39 Steps and three Popcorn Theatre productions (to be announced).

If you wish to be considered for the 2026 TST season, you may send your audition materials (current headshot/resume and audition link)  to casting@Tibbits.org. Submissions should include a contemporary comic monologue and two contrasting vocal selections that consider the style(s) of the shows being presented. For full consideration, video submissions should be received no later than January 31st, 2026. Anything received after this date may not be considered.

Tibbits Summer Theatre (TST) will also attend the Unified Professional Theatre Auditions (UPTA) in Memphis, TN February 6-9, 2026.

All positions include competitive salaries, no-cost housing (if needed), and a free gym membership.

Professional Design and Technical Positions

Tibbits Summer Theatre hires a variety of technical and design positions for the summer.

Typical summer positions include:

  • Production Stage Manager/ Assistant PSM
  • Technical Director
  • Scenic Designers
  • Scenic Painter
  • Costume Designers
  • Costume Shop Staff
  • Lighting Designers
  • Master Electrician
  • Sound Designer/Technician
  • Carpenters
  • Props Master/ Props Assistant

Orchestra/Musicians

We invite area and local musicians interested in playing for our summer musicals to send an email of interest (and resume, footage or sample of work if possible) to the Artistic Director at casting@tibbits.org.
 
Please note, need for specific instruments depends upon the shows, and we have some regular return-players we often use, but they are not always available and opportunities do pop up from time to time.
 
We are unable to provide housing for musicians, so we are only able to consider local and area players at this time.
 

Non Professional: Tibbits Young Audiences (TYA) Auditions (grades 4-8)

Tibbits produces two shows yearly with a full cast of about 50 students. A play in the fall and a musical in the spring provide students with an enjoyable introduction to the world of theatre. By putting on a show they learn teamwork, discipline, theatre skills, self-confidence, and an appreciation for the arts. Shows are open to youth in fourth through eighth grade. Congratulations! Click HERE for the Tibbits Young Audiences Dr. Experimentor and the League of Evil cast list. Our first rehearsal will be at Hope Church (200 N Fremont St) on August 25, 2026 at 4:30pm. Parents need to attend 6pm-6:30pm.
