Mixed Emotions Opens Tibbits Summer Season

Coldwater, MI — “Mixed Emotions,” a funny, touching play opens Tibbits Summer Theatre’s 55th season on June 14 with an inspirational message of starting life a-new; the show runs through June 23 at Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, Michigan.
A gentle, yet funny and romantic comedy the plays tells the story of two widowed friends in their 60s. Before the deaths of their spouses, the couples had been close. Christine is in the process of moving to Florida, when out of the blue, Herman appears to request she stay and marry him. She thinks the idea is ridiculous, but Herman persists reliving old times as the movers take out her furniture, piece by piece.
Christine played by Debbie Culver is smart, sophisticated and cautious; she has decided it’s time to start and new life. Herman played by Peter Stewart is shrewd and blunt, at times even obnoxious, but he know what he wants. Chuck the senior mover played by Nicolas Fernandez is a hard worker determined to give the best customer service. By contrast Ralph played by David Ossman doesn’t really care about anything.
Written by Richard Baer, “Mixed Emotions” is directed by Suzanne Ogden. Tibbits Summer Theatre features a professional company from across the United States. The design staff features set design by Johnmichael Bohach, costumes by Mark W. Vitall II, and lights by Catie Blencowe.
