Tibbits Puts a New Spin on the Traditional Golf Tournament

Tibbits First Annual, Golf Par-tee Fundraiser scheduled for Friday, August 7 at 7pm at the Coldwater Golf Course for an evening of food and activities for both golfers and non-golfers. This evening fundraiser sponsored by Bloom Dairy, Inc., Curt Albright Farms & Oak Prairie Farms features a hog roast dinner, live music, a cash bar, nine holes of night golf, games and raffles.

Community members, golfers and our sponsors are excited and that tells us people were ready for us to shake things up. Thanks to support from our sponsors, we can do just that.”
The Jim Stout Band, with their eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass and classic country is one of the featured musicians of the evening. Live entertainment is sponsored by, Branch County Abstract & Title, Inc., JR Colbeck, Attorney and Quality Springs Togo. Guests can also expect to hear classic rock and blues performed by The Back-Up Band.
Bobilya – Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary and Studio 17 Salon & Spa, are sponsors of the hog roast dinner. Albright Swine Farms, will cook up and serve the hog while Bill’s Grill House will prepare an array of sides to accompany the main course. The beverage station, sponsored by Coldwater Lake Marina will feature both adult and non-alcoholic beverages for guests throughout the evening. In addition to the dinner, popcorn will be available at a snack station, sponsored by Century Bank & Trust.
Three games, for both the novices and golf aficionados are available to play during and after dinner for chances to win cash and prizes thanks to Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Coldwater Community Health Center and Dean Insurance.
Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase large raffle tickets, sponsored by the Foundation Golf Center, 50/50 tickets and door prize tickets. Some of the door prizes include 50” LED flat screen TV donated by Wal-Mart Distribution Center #6043, a $100 GC for pet grooming from Paws in Place, a chocolate tour for 6 at DeBrand Chocolates in Fort Wayne, IN and more.
“Besides the addition of entertainment and creating an evening that allows more of the community to join in the fun, the scramble itself has a whole new set of challenges for the golfers.” says Mike Beckwith, Golf Committee Chair. “Golfers will be playing nine holes in the dark with only glow-in-the-dark markers, balls and necklaces to guide them!” Thanks to sponsors Adult & Pediatric Dental Care, every guest can keep track of the scores. Gordon’s Culligan will be stocking the watering hole to make sure golfers stay hydrated while on the course.
Tibbits will offer two different tickets for entrance into the event. A $25 dinner and entertainment ticket for non-golfers and a golfer ticket for $75 or $300 for a 4-person team, which also includes dinner. Tickets are available for purchase at www.Tibbits.org or in the Tibbits administration office on 93 W. Chicago St. Space is limited so reservations are encouraged.
Table sponsorships are still available for $100. By sponsoring a table, businesses will receive an individual sign under the big tent. Businesses that would prefer to promote a product or service can donate a door prize.
