Parrish Excavating Sponsors ‘Act Three’ at Tibbits Opera House

COLDWATER – Tibbits Opera House wishes to thank the team at Parrish Excavating for its sponsorship of the World Premiere of Act Three in this year’s Summer Theatre series, as well as its sponsorship support of the theatre since 2017, and its overall support which goes on much longer still.

Parrish Excavating has been a mainstay in the community since its founding in Quincy, Michigan in 1972. Over the next 50-plus years, the company has kept busy fixing roads, adding to the water lines and sewer mains, building septic systems, rehabilitating driveways, building new lawns and fixing old ones, building new apartment complexes and subdivisions, developing land for new manufacturing and commercial entities and so much more.

“We’d work every day to sponsor Tibbits,” said owner Brad Parrish. “Tibbits is unique. It’s special. It’s part of what makes Coldwater and Branch County what it is, so we see it as vital, historical and meaningful—not something of a fad or trend but something substantial. We think that’s what makes Tibbits worth investing in, and so we do, and will.”

Act Three, written by longtime Tibbits actor and director Brenda Sparks, follows three dear friends and acting legends who have done it all, are approaching the twilight of their career. The trio is returning to the stage where it all began with their hilarious new act, but amidst the laughter, cracks are beginning to show in their friendship. Will their past bring them together or tear them apart once and for all? An examination of aging, friendship, and the unexpected twists of returning home, “Act Three” runs June 27 through July 5.
