“PINOCCHIO” WRAPS UP TIBBITS POPCORN THEATRE SEASON
COLDWATER – Tibbits Popcorn Theatre’s version of “Pinocchio” will take youngsters on Pinocchio’s quest to become a real boy as he tangles with tricksters and some no-good buddies in the Land of Toys on August 2, 3, 9 and 10.
“Pinocchio” starts off when carpenter Gepetto (Daren Liff) decides to make a puppet named Pinocchio (Les Gibbs) to ease his loneliness. During the night, Blue Fairy (Kat Katona) brings Pinocchio to life with the stipulation that he has to remain honest or his nose and ears will grow each time he lies. Blue Fairy continues to watch over him and sends Cricket (Gil Torres) to guide him as well. Matthew C. Scott will be directing the show, with scenic design by Leon Kriser, light design by Connor Beattie, costume design by Ariel Smith O’Neal, properties by Sarah Gens, and Rachel Marengere as stage manager. “Pinocchio” features actors from Tibbits professional company who performed in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “West Side Story.”
