“Seasons of Love” Art Gallery Exhibit Pieces Wanted

COLDWATER – From bold floral displays to icy sculptures, photos of harvest time or family portraits, Arts Alive invites artists of all ages and skill levels to submit their interpretations of “Seasons of Love” in their upcoming themed gallery show which will be displayed at Tibbits Opera House October through the new year.
While the gallery theme is “Seasons of Love,” it is up to the artist to interpret exactly what the phrase means to them. Artists may submit up to three pieces at $5 per submission. Paintings, photographs or drawings should be ready to hang using hanging wire. Sculpture or other mediums are accepted and encouraged as well. Prizes will be awarded to the top artists based on audience votes. Artists may also sell their work on commission.
Arts Alive member Matt Biolchini said, “No matter what your style or medium is, the topic of seasons…or love in general…or maybe whatever season you love the most …should lend itself to a collection of some very interesting pieces.”
To be included in this art show, artists should drop off all pieces at Tibbits’ Administration Office at 93 W. Chicago St before 5pm October 24. “Seasons of Love” will be displayed in the lower level art gallery at the historic Tibbits Opera House, located at 14 S. Hanchett St. in Coldwater MI.
The art gallery currently features “America the Beautiful” exhibit. The exhibit may be viewed during events at Tibbits and by appointment. There is no admission charge for the gallery and visitors are encouraged to vote for Best of Show.
The gallery shows rotate approximately every eight weeks. 2023 exhibits include “Black & White,” “Wild Things,” “Decades,” “Cardboard Creations” and “Miniatures” along with the annual Kids’ Art Rocks! student art contest.
