Popcorn Theatre
Josh Casey – “Can’t Sit Still” begins August 8

COLDWATER, Mich. – Tibbits Popcorn Theatre season comes to a close with the outstanding comedy and juggling of Josh Casey and his one man show “Can’t Sit Still” August 8 and 9 at Tibbits Opera House.

Josh Casey takes audiences on an adventure with a day in the life of a kid who has trouble sitting still. This is a fast-paced, fun-filled presentation perfect for all ages. “Can’t Sit Still,” is a one-man show filled with stunts, laughs, circus skills, comedy, and audience participation.  Josh involves the audience in their seats and up on stage – in the middle of the action. The volunteers are the stars of the show and they have a blast as elated audience members try to keep up with the genius that is Josh Casey.

A native of Michigan Casey is both juggler and comedian. Over the past 20 years he has traveled the country with his interactive comedy and juggling show, performing for all kinds of events. Casey got his start as a performer while still a kid, entertaining at talent shows and community events. It didn’t take long before he was addicted to the applause, laughter and learning new skills. His career continued to expand by leaps and bounds (literally) and now packs his calendar performing for colleges, corporate events and theaters. Besides two decades as a top-notch juggler, Josh earned a degree in Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University, performed stand-up, improv and sketch comedy, acted in plays and short films and even directed a comedy musical about video games. Recently, Casey broke the Guinness World Record for sitting on the most whoopee cushions in 30 seconds. He also co-founded the Madison Circus Space, a practice center for circus artists. Josh lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife and three children, what he calls “the perfect number for a juggler.”

“Can’t Sit Still” is sponsored by the Coldwater Exchange Club. Popcorn Theatre is also made possible through the generosity of Dr. Jon and Seibra Herbener and Dr. Nichole Ellis. Popcorn Theatre’s live, professional performances have, for generations, been entertaining families with live professional performances.
