Tibbits has a New Electronic Sign

COLDWATER –Tibbits Opera House is thankful for its new electronic sign that was recently installed to the south of the historic theatre. With state of the art capabilities, this sign can show high resolution images and animations, and is controlled wirelessly through software on an iPad. will announce events and performances being held at the theatre.

Given in memory of a beloved aunt who loved live theatre all over the world, Larry and Brenda Anstine made their first gift to Tibbits a memorable one. “Aunt Ruth loved to travel and spent her life traveling around the world. She loved live theatre and saw productions everywhere she went. With her passing, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to honor Ruth with this gift in support of our local live theatre, the Tibbits”, Larry said.

For the Dedication on Tuesday Morning, Tibbits’ Graphic Designer and marketing team member, Matt Biolchini, created a video that really showed off the capabilities of the sign, using video images of Tibbits Summer Theatre Productions of Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Popcorn Theatre’s production of  Alice in Wonderland, along with video of the installation of the memorial plaque installed below the sign. The video, and the memorial plaque mounted below the sign was revealed to the Anstines at the dedication ceremony.

The Plaque reads, “In Memory of Ruth A. Anstine. “Theatre is where imagination is ignited, and magic fills the soul.”
