Tibbits Young Audiences’ Presents “Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure”

COLDWATER – Soar away to Neverland with Tibbits Young Audiences’ spring musical “Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure” March 17-19 at Tibbits Opera House.

This fresh musical adaptation of the novel “Peter Pan” has book by Craig Sodaro, music by Eric Rockwell, and lyrics by Joanne Bogart. In the beloved tale, the Darling children love to hear of Peter Pan’s adventures during his visits through the open window of the nursery. Then one night after Nana has taken his shadow and Wendy has sewn it back on, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell whisk the children off to Neverland to be part of the adventures. All your favorite characters are there, including Captain Hook and his pirate crew, Princess Tiger Lily and her tribe, and of course, the Lost Boys!

The cast is made up of 42 students and includes cast members from Bronson, Coldwater, Quincy, Burlington, Battle Creek, Tekonsha, Union City and even Angola, IN. Cast members include Adeline Bain as Peter Pan, Skylar Leson as Wendy Darling, Henry Case as John Darling, David Allen, III as Michael Darling, Eliza Koyl as Nana, Pierce Smith as Captain Hook, Madeline Reeves as Smee, Kennedy Austin as Starkey, Maddy Findley-Kyser as the Crocodile. Lost Boys include Ava Chockley, Marlee Clemens, Emmy Findley-Kyser, Liam Houtz, Cora Mayer, Libbie Mello, Lydia Payne, Selah Payne, Milo Reeves, Claire Smith, Bethany Uetrecht, Eliana VanDongen, Bere Wischmeyer. Pirates are Natallia Case, Margaret Ferry, Annabelle Foster, Marley Jenkins-Allen, Sierra LaFountain, Isabella Mathews, Kenna Niedzwiecki, Madeline Reeves, Micailan Reynolds, Amberlyn Small. Indians are Naema Ahmed, Elanor Baughn, Hollie Hemker, Gemma Johnson, Sydney Lawrence, Azurae Long, Keeley Love, Isabella Maschino, Galen Towers, and Aston Zuzga.

Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure is generously sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Coldwater. Julia Littley serves as director with Jayne Lillis as musical director and Tirsha Odisher as producer. Jeff Harvey and London Elkins, TYA alums, serve as assistant stage managers, with TYA alum Rachel Rutz and Ashlyn Abrey as stage crew. Laura Odom has designed costumes, with set design by Leon Kriser and makeup design by Abby Austin.

Tibbits Young Audiences offers programs both for and by area youth to develop their interest in the arts. Two shows yearly, a non-musical in the fall and a musical in the spring, provide students an enjoyable introduction to the world of theatre. By putting on a show, they learn teamwork, discipline, theatre skills, self confidence and an appreciation for the arts.

“Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure” will run March 17 and 18 at 7pm with a 2pm matinee on March 19.
