Tibbits PR – Alone Together
Tibbits Summer Theatre season concludes with the comedy, “Alone Together” opening August 7 and running through August 16 at Tibbits Opera House.
Written by Lawrence Roman, “Alone Together” centers on a long married couple getting their third child off to college. The Butlers are ready for an empty house and to take up the pursuits that had to be set aside for child rearing. They want and need to re-connect and within moments of the last good-bye, one son after the other comes charging back home looking for a safe nest. From there hilarity ensues.
Charles Burr, Artistic Director for Tibbits Summer Theatre directs this production. He says, “After all the knock-about farces we have done the past few years, I am very glad to go back to a warm and wise comedy about family.” He adds “‘Alone Together’ is a comedy to which many of us can relate.”
“Alone Together” opened on Broadway in 1984. The Hollywood Reporter called it “A delightfully wise and witty view of the true relationship between parents and their grown children.” The Gannett Westchester Newspaper said it was “An amiable comedy…The audience roared with recognition, pleasure and amusement.”
The cast for “Alone Together” is Suzanne Marie Stewart and Stephen N. Moore as the parents and Isaac Jankowski, Nate Klingenberg, T.J. Besler as the couple’s three sons. Lindsey Dakota also joins the cast as the girlfriend.

Evening performances are at 8 pm Thursday through Saturday August 7 through 16 at Tibbits Opera House, 14 South Hanchett Street, Coldwater, Mich.
