The Tibbits Auction has become a popular event with unique themes over the years. The silent auction in the Tibbits Art Gallery begins at 6 p.m., the live auction at 8 p.m. “The committee can’t wait to dazzle the crowd with ruby red slippers, green elixir, Auntie Em’s home cooking and more! We love making a spectacle and having fun with guests,” explains Auction Committee Chair, Christine Lewis.
Sarah Zimmer, Special Events Development Director adds, “This is the largest fundraiser for the theatre and it is critical to maintaining the day-to-day operations. The funds raised keep the lights on and heat going. It gives Tibbits the ability to provide the theatre for the community all year long.
The event is held at the historic Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, MI. The silent auction will be held in the lower level art gallery and the live auction on stage. This year’s event also features a $1,000 cash raffle, sponsored by Great Lakes Chiropractic, with tickets costing only $5. Guests will also encounter a wine pull, engraved souvenir glasses, a photo booth and fantastic selection of silent and live auction items.
