Tibbits Auction – The Price is Right!
COLDWATER – Tibbits Annual Auction billed as “a whole new game,” will fill the theatre and take to the stage in person Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Tibbits Opera House.
The annual fundraising event expands beyond the traditional auction audiences have known and loved for the past 43 years. This year Tibbits takes on “The Price is Right” game show theme and invites supporters to “Come on Down” to enjoy games and prizes in addition to the beloved live and silent auctions. Volunteers have been working hard and according to Andrew French, Tibbits Development Director, “We’re ready for a night of fun and entertainment unlike anything experienced at the theatre before. Make plans to join us.”
The traditional Live Auction will take place on stage featuring unique items, dinners, trips and experiences. The Silent Auction in the gallery will allow guests to place their bids on nearly 200 baskets and items, gift ideas or special treasures for themselves. There will even be travel trips in partnership with AmFund. Adding to the fun, the evening also features games like “Plinko,” “Punch-a-Bunch,” “Beat-the-Clock,” “Price is Right,” “Car Price-Money Game,” “Bob Barker’s Bounce,” “Beat the Clock” and “Putt-Putt.” Adult contestants get chances to win prizes like gift cards, gift certificates and special items donated by local and regional businesses.
Games, food, and silent auction begin at 6pm. The live auction begins with a “Price is Right” game at 7pm and is followed by more games and silent auction bidding. Admission is $10 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres and a ticket for the first game, or adult beverage. Additional game or beverage tickets will be $5 each. Auction raffle tickets offer a chance to win $1000, $250 or Tibbits Summer Theatre season ticket for $10 per ticket.
