Tibbits Opens ‘Tiffany’s Treasures Marketplace’ Saturday As Part of Annual Auction Fundraising

COLDWATER – Tibbits Opera House is excited to welcome shoppers and deal hunters of all kinds to the historic venue on Saturday afternoon, October 25, as they open Tiffany’s Treasures Marketplace as part of the festivities surrounding the Tibbits 46th Annual Auction. The theme for this year’s auction is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

The auction is Tibbits largest yearly fundraiser, and this year, the auction is split over two events on consecutive weekends. Saturday, October 25, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm will be Tiffany’s Treasures Marketplace featuring a wide variety of donated items from the community. These auction continues on Saturday, November 1, with a special Gala Dinner starting at 5:30pm, and a live auction with entertainment from Dueling Pianos International. With Tiffany’s Treasures Marketplace, Tibbits has been accepting donated items such as collectibles large and small, framed artwork, gift baskets from local businesses, special services, lightly used items, and much more. Tibbits staff have taken the approximate value of each item and will have them placed in the Tibbits Art Gallery at the theatre, where they will be sorted by price point. Prices will also come down periodically throughout the day. People interested in attending can come early for the best selection, or come later and get better deals, but with fewer items available.

In addition to the festivities in the Tibbits Art Gallery, and in keeping with the auction’s theme this year, Tibbits will be screening the 1961 film of the same name in the theatre upstairs starting at 2:00 pm.

Tibbits will also have multiple raffle items listed in the marketplace, as well as a 50/50 raffle, and a large prize raffle drawing.

All proceeds for raffle tickets, 50/50, and Tiffany’s Treasures purchases will benefit Tibbits Opera Foundation and Arts Council, Inc. No ticket is necessary to attend Tiffany’s Treasures Marketplace or the screening of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Concessions will be open at the theatre throughout the event.
