Tibbits Opera House Seeking Volunteers, Training Session Set for Wednesday, June 18

COLDWATER – Tibbits Opera House is seeking volunteers for the current summer theatre season as well as community rentals and other events at the historic location, and will be hosting a volunteer training and appreciation ice cream social at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, June 18. The event will be held in the art gallery downstairs at the theatre.

“Volunteers are the most valuable asset we have here at Tibbits,” said Executive Director Christine Delaney. “Events like this are an opportunity to say thank you to our dedicated volunteers and also invite others to join in the experience.”

Volunteering at Tibbits is an opportunity to meet new people, have fun while helping audience members and Tibbits staff alike, and those assisting as ushers also get to see the shows for which they are working.

Volunteers also help with tasks in the administrative office, plant and care for the garden outside the theatre, work behind the bar for shows and events, help in the box office, assist with the theatre’s youth programs, and so much more.

In keeping with the approaching summer, the upcoming volunteer training session set for Wednesday evening, June 18, will also feature an ice cream social starting at 5:00 pm in the art gallery downstairs at the theatre. The event is designed to encourage new participation with Tibbits’ volunteer program while celebrating existing volunteers who help make so much of what Tibbits does possible.

Those interested in volunteering for Tibbits must be 18 years of age or older. Prospective volunteers should contact the Tibbits Administrative Office at 93. W.
