Tibbits Opera House to Screen ‘Pokémon: Detective Pikachu’ as Part of Tibbits Film Series

COLDWATER – Grab your deerstalker cap and get ready to laugh, as Tibbits Film Series hosts a screening of the 2019 film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu on Saturday, March 29, at the historic Tibbits Opera House.

Loosely based on the 2016 video game released for the Nintendo 3DS, Detective Pikachu takes place in a world where humans and Pokémon live side by side. Ace detective Harry Goodman is missing, presumed dead, and to find him, his estranged son Tim is forced to team up with Harry’s partner, a wisecracking, adorable Pikachu, whom only Tim can understand. Together they set off to untangle a sprawling mystery that takes them to places they could not have imagined and tests their understanding of who they can trust.

Enjoy more than just a movie! Have some pizza before the film gets underway with a special pizza party starting at 4pm! Entry for the pizza party will be $5 at the door, and a cash bar will be available. Pokémon: Detective Pikachu is rated PG for action/peril, some rude and suggestive humor, and thematic elements.
