Tibbits In Search of Volunteer Support
Coldwater, MI – In addition to the performances and entertainment, Tibbits offers an array of volunteer opportunities for those in the community interested in getting involved in the historic theatre.
Tibbits offers a variety of areas of interest for those who would like to volunteer, including ushering, working the concessions and gift shop during shows, helping in the administrative office, decorating and cleaning around the theatre, giving theatre tours, folding programs for shows, helping with bulk mailings, helping with special events including the annual auction and golf outing, and chauffeuring, just to name a few.
“Volunteers are really the heart of the theatre because they keep all of the activities and duties at the theatre on track while having fun. Everything our volunteers do brings value to Tibbits and that is irreplaceable,” explains Amy Crabtree, Tibbits Volunteer Staff Liason.
Formed in 2006, the mission of the Tibbits Boosters is to provide and coordinate volunteer support for Tibbits Opera House. Those who volunteer with Tibbits are considered active Tibbits Booster members once they have worked five hours. Tibbits Boosters track volunteer hours and annually recognize those reaching milestones such as 100, 200, 300 or more hours
Built in 1882, Tibbits Opera House is the pride of the community. Many people volunteer at Tibbits because they value the history and want to be a part of something as special as Tibbits.
