Tibbits Summer Theatre

Welcome to Tibbits Summer Theatre!

Each year, our artistic director hires a variety of professional actors, designers, and technicians from throughout the country and brings them together at Tibbits. Some cast members are only here for a show or two; others are here the entire season. Long-time Tibbits favorite Peter Riopelle took over as Artistic Director after the 2020 season when Charles Burr retired after 30 years in the position. Audition and tech information can be found at the Audition Tab on the Get Involved page HERE.

We’re looking forward to our 59th consecutive season! In August 2020, Tibbits Summer Theatre closed the final show of the most unique and challenging season in its history. We also celebrated Burr’s final show as Artistic Director with a standing ovation. We are beyond proud of our small, dedicated company to be one the few theatres in the country to pull off this feat in a safe, outdoor space. In 2021, we began with an outdoor season but pivoted indoors when an inordinate amount of rainfall presented us with additional challenges at an outdoor venue. The past two years have been extremely challenging and without the support of our audience, our playbill advertisers, and our season sponsors, it wouldn’t haven’t been possible. Thank you to all who enabled the show to go on! We’re looking forward to 2022!
