Volunteers Needed for Arts Alive Holiday Event
COLDWATER – Arts Alive has opportunities available for volunteers as the group plans its unique holiday event “The Art of Holiday Food, Drinks & Décor” happening at the Tibbits Opera House on November 27.
According to Stephanie Burdick, one of the organizers of the event, “We’re looking for all skills. Whether you have ideas and like to create things yourself, or even if you don’t think of yourself as creative but want to meet new people and make connections in the community, we have ways to help with the event.” She adds, “Mostly we want to get more people involved to enjoy the process of creating an exciting new event.”
While Arts Alive held a holiday event last year, the plans have taken on many new elements. Attendees will take in décor ideas; enjoy food samples while learning how to whip up special appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks; and even create their own fresh swags to adorn their homes. Attendees will be given all recipes, mingle over coffee and dessert, and come together at the end for the 12 Days of Christmas raffle drawing.
Committee members are needed for all facets of planning the event including shopping for materials, securing donations for the raffle, assembling attendee packets, helping with marketing and distributing posters, decorating the theatre, and setting up and coordinating the event itself.
Those who are interested in being a part of “The Art of Holiday Food, Drinks & Décor” can attend the next Arts Alive meeting at 10 am Monday, Sept. 17 at Tibbits Administrative Office at 93 W. Chicago St. in Coldwater. If you are interested in joining but unable to attend, or for more information contact Stephanie at 517-278-6029 or email sburdick@Tibbits.org.
